BIOGRAPHY

Amanda FitzGerald was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she began dancing at the age of two. Initially joining dance as a hobby, the art form soon became Amanda’s entire life. At age 5 she joined a competitive line at On Your Toes School of Dance in St. Paul, Minnesota. Just a few years later, at the age of nine, she followed her closest dance teacher to Edina, Minnesota after she opened her studio called Platinum Dance Center. Amanda competed for that studio for nine years, and at the age of fifteen started assisting classes and joined their mentor program. Amanda quickly grew a passion for teaching dance and has been working at her studio since. At age sixteen Amanda joined a local contemporary program “Crash Dance Productions”, a pre-professional training program where she furthered her study in concert dance. At eighteen, Amanda moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where she is currently located, to begin training at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee pursuing her degree in contemporary dance. Techniques she has studied include but are not limited to; Jazz, Precision Technique, Ballet, Modern, Heels, African, and Hip-Hop. While at The Boston Conservatory, she performed new works by Danny Pelzig and Jarek Cemerek in addition to Gustavo Sansano’s 18+1, reconstructed by Chris Emile. Amanda is on track to graduate in 2025 and is most excited by commercial work and teaching being a part of her future career.
